When I first heard about Potato Chip Candy, I started salivating. Sure, I thought the idea of mixing potato chips and chocolate was super weird, but I knew I had to try it. Chips are my weakness. Please never make me choose between my husband and potato chips, I’m pretty sure that my BBQ LAYS will come out on top.
Potato Chip Candy
-1 bag of peanut butter chips
-1 bag butterscotch chips
-1 bag of chocolate chips
-1 family size of ripple chips
Melt all chips in pot.
Crunch potato chips and then add to pot.
Scoop into cupcake liners.
Refrigerate.
Please Note: Since making these, I have heard of people adding crushed peanuts to the recipe. I have also had the recommendation to use cornflakes instead of chips, which is a great idea as it totally cuts down on calories and fat from the ripple potato chips. When I make these again, I am going to leave out the butterscotch chips and add another bag of chocolate chips and add nuts with the potato chips to give it more of a “cuban lunch” chocolate bar kind of a taste.
So was that weird enough for you?
Have you ever made a candy or a dessert using potato chips before?
